Our opticians will visit you at home to provide a thorough eye examination, and our extensive collection of frames ensures that you will find the perfect pair to suit your style and preferences. We also provide NHS-funded eye tests for those who qualify, and we strive to provide a 5-star service to all our patients.

How We Can Help

At First Care Optical, we understand that some individuals may struggle to attend an optician's office due to physical or mental disabilities. We provide home eye tests for those who qualify, and our services are designed to be convenient and accessible. We also offer private eye tests at home for those who do not qualify for NHS-funded tests, and our fees start at 45.

Eligibility for NHS Funding

To qualify for NHS-funded eye tests, you may be eligible if you are aged 60 or over, registered blind or partially sighted, diagnosed with diabetes or glaucoma, or considered to be at risk of glaucoma. Additionally, you may qualify if you are receiving income support, jobseeker's allowance, employment and support allowance, or pension credit guarantee credit.
