Our History

Bullen Joinery's story began in 1895 when Herbert Bullen, a foreman carpenter, started his own business as a builder and contractor on the same site at Central Road, Cromer, where our workshop stands today. Over the years, the business grew and developed a high-quality joinery manufacturing brand, thanks to its reputation for thoroughness, high-quality workmanship, and reliability.

In 1935, the business was acquired by R G Carter Limited, which enabled the company to continue to develop with a significant parent providing financial security and sustainability. Today, we are proud to be part of Youngs Doors Ltd in the DBS Group of Companies within R G Carter, and we look forward to our next century with the qualities and ideals of the past continuing.
