Our Namesake - Isambard Kingdom Brunel
The man behind our name, Isambard Kingdom Brunel, was born in 1806 and went on to become one of the most ingenious and prolific figures in engineering history. His revolutionary contributions to dockyards, railways, steamships, and some of the most iconic bridges ever built, such as the Clifton Suspension Bridge and the Maidenhead Railway Bridge, continue to inspire and awe to this day. We are proud to honour his legacy by bearing his name and striving for excellence in all that we do.
