Welcome to Alice Webster Interiors, a distinguished design studio located in North London. As a Member of the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID) with over 30 years of experience, I specialise in both residential and commercial projects, offering a diverse range of contemporary, period, and classic interior designs. I am committed to delivering exceptional care and attention to detail, ensuring that every project, regardless of its size, is approached with professionalism and a hands-on attitude. My goal is to enhance and respect the period of the building, working harmoniously within its architectural proportions to create refined interiors tailored to each individual's taste and requirements.
My expertise extends beyond design, as I personally oversee each project from inception to completion. I am known for my flexibility, reliability, and efficiency, ensuring that all work is carried out within budget while adhering to project schedules without compromising the design's quality. In addition to my design services, I run my own studio workroom, creating high-end, bespoke soft furnishings and upholstery for long-standing clients, developers, estate agents, and the trade. INTERIOR DESIGN SERVICES
I approach a project in four distinct stages:
1. Concept Development
Our journey begins with an initial meeting at your property, during which we discuss your ideas, wishes, and budget. I explain my services and the various stages of the process.
2. Produce Project Designs
Once we agree on the scope of works and style, I prepare and submit a design presentation that includes sample boards, furniture and fixings, fabrics, paint colours, lighting, and joinery, along with layout drawings and elevations as required.
3. Project Co-ordination
I produce full specification instructions, working drawings, and schedules for the various trades and manufacturers. I oversee all the project co-ordination for all elements and agree on the time-frame and costing for your approval. Upon approval, I place all orders with contractors and manufacturers.
4. Installation & Dressing
Once the building and decoration works are completed, I coordinate the delivery and installation of all furnishings, including furniture, window treatments, and carpets. I source and add the final decorative touches of artwork and soft furnishings.
DESIGN FEES
Design fees are generally calculated as a fixed fee for design work or an hourly rate plus a percentage for the procurement of furniture, fixtures, and equipment required on behalf of the client. Each job is advised accordingly prior to commencement.
