Valley Farm Equestrian Centre is a family-owned business, established in 1987 by Denise and Les Faulkner, and now run by their daughter Steph Faulkner. Our riding school and livery yard is situated in the picturesque village of Shotteswell, only 5 miles from Banbury and close to the M40. We pride ourselves on being a friendly and approachable yard, whilst maintaining a very positive attitude towards achievement.
With nearly 40 years of experience, we have developed a reputation for providing exceptional riding lessons and livery services to horse owners and enthusiasts of all ages and abilities. Our team of professional and fully qualified instructors, including Steph Faulkner, who has an excellent competition record in British Showjumping, are dedicated to helping our clients achieve their equestrian goals.
Our Services

Our livery yard provides a range of packages, from part livery to competition livery, all tailored to suit individual horse owners' needs. Each horse is treated like one of our own, and professionally schooled by Steph herself. We have a team of experienced grooms who provide exceptional care and attention to detail, ensuring that every horse receives the best possible care.
Our Facilities
Our facilities are second to none, with a large indoor and outdoor school, a full set of showjumps, and a cross-country field. We also have a tea room, horse walker, and full set of showjumps, providing everything our clients need to excel in their equestrian pursuits.
Pony Club
We are proud to be a Pony Club centre, offering a range of activities and competitions for children aged 4-25. Our Pony Club is open to anyone who loves horses, enjoys riding, and wants to spend time with like-minded individuals.
Competitions and Events
We host a range of competitions and events throughout the year, including dressage, showjumping, and gymkhanas. Our competitions are held in our large indoor or outdoor school, with refreshments available and a large hard car park.
