Restaurant Reviews
We visited 1910, a restaurant in Spanish City, not for the first time I might add. The venue is beautiful, and staff are fantastic, and then there's the food, especially 1910, their food is amazing. We will continue to be customers to this fabulous venue, and can't wait to go again.
I took the family to the Breakfast with Santa event and have to say how wonderful it was. great fun for the children, super food and fantastic friendly service in Trenchards. highly recommend it. will definitely book for next year!
Huge thank you to the Spanish City team for an incredible afternoon tea with Santa this afternoon. We loved all of it. The staff were all fantastic, the food was delicious and the whole Christmas atmosphere was magical. Seriously well done in this very difficult time. We would 100% recommend festive fun at Spanish City. Big thank you
1 star for location only. Went to champagne bar for anniversary drink, asked for champagne Cocktail as advertised on menu, young staff (maybe not their fault) didn't have a clue what to do or how to make them, (only 2 ingredients as per menu) - proceeded to take payment while I then sat and heard them asking everyone what to do and running around building trying to find someone to help. inexperience and overpriced. I won't be back
Shocking. starter (soup) tasted disgusting resembled pureed babys food liquidised. My grandaughter didn't even get her melon! The main course child's chicken nuggets meal disgusting and our dinners were just warm. Puddings, the chocolate brown came with cream it should have been warm with ice cream! Drink prices ridiculous. This is the 2nd time we've been and the quality was very poor this time.
We were there today for the Christmas Market it was lovely nice atmosphere good selection of stalls worth a look
1910 for Sunday lunch. Menu was amazing, food ordered, stunning (souffle, then lamb, then cheese). Service was delightful and ended up being a really enjoyable day. We didn't feel rushed or ignored. Everything flowed. Booking again ASAP. Highly recommend
Trenchers service and food was excellent. Lovely environment, very calming and casual.
Excellent as always. Fabulous building, great food, really good friendly and professional staff and a pianist playing.
The Champagne Bar was amazing, a real treat. Lots of choices of cocktails and fancy drinks at reasonable prices served by friendly and accommodating staff. Evening topped off by a very talented singer, Emma Robson, who made us stay longer and have a few more drinks. Really enjoyed it and would highly recommend.
We got married in August, and I can't thank all the staff enough, especially Rachel, our wedding coordinator, she was amazing! Mo was our fabulous Master of Ceremonies. From our initial meeting to the. wedding day, it went very smooth. All aspect of the day is outlined and it was amazing. The room was set beautifully, The food was amazing, the view was beautiful and all the staff were exceptional! We would definitely recommend anyone to get married there. Thank you so much x
Beautiful building. Had lunch at Trenchers. Wonderful food and all staff were lovely. Certainly recommend for fish and chips!
LOVELY AMBIANCE. REFRESHING AND RELAXING ATMOSPHERE. GOOD AND FAST SERVICE. VERY GOOD PRICES. I LOVED VISITING IT.I WILL BE BACK SOON.
Lovely setting. Very clean. Friendly service. Had a small lightly battered cod and chips. Was just enough.
North Tyneside Council have done a grand job restoring this iconic building of Whitley Bay. I remember it forty years ago as a student crammed with slot machines and pin ball tables. Now it's somewhat classier with several eating places including an upmarket restaurant upstairs (Champagne Bar) with great views of the Bay. There's a very nice Tea Room there also called Valerie's with plenty of outside seating along a patio area. It serves breakfasts till 11.30am and all day brunches.
The soup of the day in here really made my day. Its smooth taste melt perfectly in your mouth, tendered your senses, like a gorgeous lady staring your eyes and say, how can I serve u tonight darling? Instead of shouting Take me to shopping now! I was not a fan of fish n chips but as I saw the first thing on entrance that "the best fish&chips in UK" I decided to give it a try, and u just can't complain about it, it's so well cooked, the whole dinner experience outperformed my expectations.
It's a different story comparing to the F&C takeaway on street. Why not just spend a tiny bit more pounds sitting in a enjoyable environment, peaceful place, with fantastic warm soup and top class service and clean toilet, instead of cheap takeaway and sit in the cold wind?
