Melody Movement Early Learning

Melody Movement Early Learning is a unique and magical dance curriculum designed for children aged 18 months and above. Established in 2006, our programme has been tailored to discover and fulfill the potential of each child, nurturing their creative development while supporting teachers in delivering effective and happy classes in music and movement, ballet and tap dancing. The loveable teddy, Melody Bear, is the focal point of our early years curriculum, and all her activities, stories, ideas and dreams can be told through dance and movement.

Our carefully planned learning experience ensures a smooth transition from one stage to the next. The Melody Bear journey ends at the Foundation Ballet level as the children wave farewell to her at their Graduation Ceremony. However, the creative spirit of Melody Movement continues in our Junior Ballet syllabus and Ballet Classique study programmes.

Since the launch of our first 'Melody Movement Class-in-a-Box' syllabus in 2006, its compendium of class activities, dance, characterisations, explorations of story narrative in music, and group interaction has been embraced worldwide. It is now the mainstay of dance schools in the UK and overseas. The Melody Movement team is always happy to advise teachers and assist parents looking for Melody Bear classes.

• Pre-school dance classes with Melody Bear - Our classes are designed to introduce children to the world of dance, where they can develop their creativity, musicality, and physical skills in a fun and engaging way.
• Moving forwards with Melody Movement - Our First Ballet, Foundation & Junior Ballet syllabi, and Ballet Classique & Student Assistant programme are designed for children who are ready to take their dance training to the next level.
• Teacher Resources - We offer a comprehensive range of resources for dance teachers, including a teacher resource catalogue, brochures, and class activities.
• Shop - Our shop offers a range of Melody Bear books & CDs that can be used to support children's learning and development.

The Melody Bear Journey

The Melody Bear journey begins at the early years stage, where children are introduced to the world of dance through music and movement. The journey continues with our Junior Ballet syllabus and Ballet Classique study programmes, where children can further develop their dance skills and technique. The Melody Bear journey ends with the Foundation Ballet level, where children wave farewell to Melody Bear at their Graduation Ceremony. However, the creative spirit of Melody Movement continues, and children can take their dance training further with our Ballet Classique & Student Assistant programme.
