Overview of the Hotel's Strengths
The hotel's prime location, being right on the sea front, is a major selling point for many reviewers. The friendly and professional staff, including the owner and management, are consistently praised for their welcoming nature and attentiveness. The hotel's cleanliness and comfort are also highlighted, with many reviewers commenting on the pleasant and tidy rooms.
Breakfast and Hospitality
Breakfast is another area where the hotel shines, with a wide range of options available and a full English breakfast that sets guests up for the day. The hotel's hospitality is also noteworthy, with staff going out of their way to ensure guests have everything they need.
Areas for Improvement
While the hotel's location and staff are major positives, some reviewers noted that the decor and fixtures are a bit dated and tired. The rooms, particularly the bathrooms, are described as small and in need of renovation. The lack of onsite parking is also a drawback, with guests having to pay for parking on the street or in a nearby council car park.
Detailed Comments
Some reviewers provided detailed comments on their stay, including the pleasant sea views from certain rooms, the comfortable beds, and the excellent value for money. However, one reviewer noted that the beds were old and tired, causing backache, and that the bathroom was small and lacked pride in its finishing touches.
