About Us
Altered Image Coachworks was originally started in the 1980s by Peter Vickers. Today, it is owned and run by car repair and paint specialist, Duncan Edwards. Duncan started his working apprenticeship at Altered Image aged just 16, working alongside Peter before taking a full apprenticeship with Rover group. Learning his craft in a manufacturer environment gave Duncan the knowledge and skills required in all aspects of car body repair and repainting.
Duncan returned to Altered Image in 1999, teaming up with his first boss by acquiring 50% of the company. Peter and Duncan worked alongside each other until 2013, where Peter retired, allowing Duncan to buy the remaining shares of the company. Altered Image has always prided itself on high-quality repairs and customer service, with returning clients year after year (backed up by our independent reviews on Google).
Our wide and varied skillset allows us to carry out full accident repairs, body repairs including dents, scratches, and all bodywork repairs to all types of vehicles. We are also a specialist repairer of wheelchair-accessible vehicles.
