Nestled in the heart of the Gower Peninsula, The Farmers Arms is a charming holiday cottage that has been beautifully restored to offer a tranquil retreat for families and couples alike. Our cottage is situated in the quiet village of Llanmadoc, on the north-west corner of the Gower Peninsula, an area of outstanding natural beauty.

A Brief History

Built in the 1850s, The Farmers Arms was once a bustling public house that played host to many a merry tale and laughter-filled evening. Today, we are proud to offer this historic building as a holiday cottage, where families and couples can come together to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing getaway.

The Cottage

Our cottage is divided into two separate parts: the Main House and the Annexe. The Main House has three bedrooms and can sleep up to five people, while the Annexe has two bedrooms and can sleep up to four people. The two can be rented together to accommodate up to nine people.

Each part of the cottage has its own patio and the large garden at the rear offers plenty of space for children to play and for adults to unwind. The garden is also home to a beautiful wild flower meadow, which attracts an abundance of wildlife, including butterflies, bees, and other insects.

The Main House

The Main House is a traditional, three-bedroomed cottage with a comfortably furnished lounge, dining room, and kitchen. The lounge features a woodburner, perfect for cozying up on chilly evenings. The dining room is equipped with a dining table and six chairs, while the kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and plenty of storage space.

Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, including a double room with washbasin, a twin room, and a single room with stunning views of the estuary and coast. The bathroom features a shower-bath, toilet, and washbasin.

The Annexe

The Annexe is a two-bedroomed self-contained property that can sleep up to four people. It is available separately or with the Main House, accommodating up to nine people. The Annexe has its own patio and is equipped with a fully furnished lounge, kitchen, and two bedrooms.

Amenities

Both the Main House and the Annexe have modern amenities, including gas central heating and hot water, double glazing, and wifi internet access. The forecourt area at the front provides ample off-road parking for several cars.
