Here at Cross Lanes Organic Farm Shop & Cafe, we're a local family business situated in the heart of beautiful Teesdale, Northern England. Our location, just off the A66 trans-pennine trunk road, makes us an ideal pit stop for those travelling to and from the Lake District and the North Pennines. Our living meadow turfed roof has become a landmark on the A66, and we're proud to offer a unique and enjoyable experience for all our customers.
Our Services
Our restaurant serves delicious homemade meals throughout the day, using organic, fresh, wild, local, seasonal, and unique home-grown ingredients. Our menu caters to all dietary requirements, including gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, and vegan options. We're committed to supporting local suppliers, and our farm shop is a one-stop shop bursting with a range of homemade quality products made in-house, as well as supporting local producers. Our traditional butchers are supplied by local suppliers, and we're proud to offer 100% Organic Grass Fed beef from our neighbouring farm, as well as pork from Yorkshire and locally supplied lamb and chicken.
Our Farm Shop
Our farm shop is a showcase for great local produce, with an extensive range of organic products and well-known branded goods. We strive to provide our customers with a choice, while supporting local producers and reducing our carbon footprint. From artisan bread and pastries to locally sourced meats and cheeses, our farm shop has everything you need to create delicious meals at home.
Our Cafe
Our cafe is a warm and welcoming space, perfect for catching up with friends and family or taking a break from your journey. Our menu is carefully curated to cater to all tastes and dietary requirements, and we're proud to use Fika Coffee from Matt, based in Durham. Our coffee is made from high-quality, locally sourced beans, and we offer a range of drinks to takeaway, as well as retail bags in the farm shop.
Events and Workshops
Throughout the year, we hold numerous events, workshops, and evenings, ranging from cooking classes to wine tastings. We're committed to keeping our customers up to date on what's going on, and you can find key dates, prices, and availability on our website and social media channels. All events are strictly bookings online, non-refundable, and payment must be made on booking to secure your place.
