Alan V Walker has been a professional canine photographer since the early 1980s, establishing himself as one of the UK's most experienced specialists in this niche field. Over nearly four decades, he has captured images of some of the most celebrated dogs in the country, earning recognition such as the Pawscars Photographer of the Year award in 2014 and 2017. As a member of the World Dog Press Association, he has contributed to industry publications including Our Dogs and Dog World, where he documented significant moments in canine history until the publication's closure in 2017.

Transitioning from traditional darkroom techniques to digital photography in 2003, Alan combines technical expertise with an intimate understanding of canine behaviour developed through decades of involvement in dog showing, including Old English Sheepdogs and Standard Schnauzers.
