Our services cater to small and medium-sized dogs, with large breeds welcomed after puppy introductions. Tailored Services
At Handsome Hounds, we believe that each dog is unique and deserves a grooming experience tailored to their individual needs. We offer a variety of services:
- Full Groom: Our comprehensive package includes a health and coat assessment, bath with premium natural shampoo and conditioner, brushing, blow-drying, dematting, deshedding, breed standard styling or styling to owner specifications, clipping and scissor work, nail, eye, and ear care, and a spritz of cologne if desired.
- Bath & Brush: This interim or stand-alone service includes a health and coat assessment, bath with premium natural shampoo and conditioner, brushing, blow-drying, dematting, deshedding, nail, eye, and ear care, and a spritz of cologne if desired.
- Puppy Introductions: For puppies up to 6 months, we recommend a series of short sessions to gradually introduce them to the grooming environment. The achievements during these sessions depend on the puppy's tolerance, and we accept large breeds for puppy introductions no later than 14 weeks old.

We operate by appointment only from Tuesday to Friday, between 9.00 and 16.00.

Handsome Hounds is a purpose-built salon, designed with an open plan grooming area that allows your dog to watch the world go by while being pampered. We keep the number of dogs at the salon to a minimum to maintain a calm environment and reduce any anxiety your dog may have. Your dog's grooming session will be tailored to their individual needs, considering any personal preferences you may have regarding styling and coat length.
To ensure the best results, we use a range of premium, natural, soap and chemical-free shampoos. As a canine first-aider, Sue's top priority is the safety and well-being of your dog. With her extensive experience and commitment to continuous learning, you can trust Handsome Hounds to provide a high-quality grooming service for your beloved pet.
