Our journey began many years ago, as our founders, Wayne and Alex, developed their interest and expertise in the wine sector. Alex, a native of Kent, spent time in wine-centric cities like Bristol and Florence during his student years, where his enthusiasm for wine was kindled. After managing London's oldest wine bar, he ventured to Australia to work for Banrock Station, further honing his skills.
Meanwhile, Wayne, after a decade-long career in the city, decided it was time for a change and followed his passion for fine wine and food. He managed the fine wine department at Oddbins' flagship store in Battersea for five years, then took on the responsibility of sourcing the delectable wines at Wines of the World. His expertise and calm demeanour make him an ideal partner for Alex.
In 2010, the duo took the leap and set up Park Vintners, dedicating themselves to providing a specialist wine shop that caters to the diverse tastes of the Wimbledon Park community. Today, our shop stands as a testament to our unwavering commitment to providing wines for every occasion, budget, and palate.
