Our History and Mission
Share Psychotherapy emerged in 1967 as the Contact Group Trust, offering support and counselling to young people grappling with drug addiction. Over the years, our mission has evolved to provide low-cost, accessible psychotherapy to individuals across South Yorkshire who cannot afford or access traditional therapy services. We pride ourselves on offering a holistic approach to wellbeing, empowering our clients to take control of their mental health.
Our Services
Our experienced team of therapists provide a range of therapeutic interventions tailored to individual needs. We offer:
- Individual therapy: Short-term and long-term psychotherapy to address anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and various mental health concerns.
- Couples therapy: Support for couples navigating communication problems, conflict, or intimacy challenges.
- Family therapy: Therapy for families struggling with communication, conflict resolution, or mental health concerns within the family unit.
Accessibility and Affordability
Understanding the financial barriers to traditional therapy, Share Psychotherapy offers services at a significantly reduced cost compared to private practice rates. We prioritize accessibility by offering a sliding scale payment system, ensuring that financial hardship is not a barrier to receiving support.
