Customer Feedback on Home Improvement Services
Poor Workmanship and Customer Service
The company in question, Raff's, was found to be highly unsatisfactory. It took over two months for them to send someone to take measurements and finally fit the window. The fitter who turned up was extremely rude and damaged the room in multiple places, including chipping a brand new floor, damaging the picture rail, and even breaking part of the window frame.
The fitter was also found to be unprofessional as he dumped rubbish in the customer's plant pots and left the bathrooms in a mess without even asking for permission to use them. He was observed shouting and laughing on the phone the whole time and ignored a family friend when she asked him to move their van so she could leave.
Lack of Accountability and Resolution
When the customer brought these issues to the owner Raff's attention, she dismissed them and tried to blame them for the damage. When the customer informed her that they would not be paying the rest of the amount, she stormed out of the house and sent them a letter threatening to take them to court. The customer's mother is disabled and confined to a wheelchair, and she is extremely stressed by the whole situation.
Inadequate Installation
To make matters worse, the window hasn't even been fitted properly. The bottom of the window scrapes against the frame. The customer cannot stress how bad this company is. Further investigation revealed that the window doesn't even close anymore. The bottom of the window slams against the window frame, and the customer now has to go outside and forcefully lift the window while closing it in order to shut the window.
Final Thoughts
This company is a complete and utter disaster. They should be avoided at all costs. The customer's experience with Raff's was extremely negative, and they would not recommend them to anyone.
