Find peace, find community, find yourself

The Glasgow Buddhist Centre is a welcoming community of Buddhist practitioners who study, practice, and build friendships with each other. Our centre is committed to sharing the teachings of the Buddha for the benefit of all, and we operate out of 72 Berkeley St, Glasgow, Scotland, sharing space with the Glasgow Unitarian Church.

Our Community

Our community is diverse, with people from all walks of life joining us to learn, grow, and build connections with like-minded individuals. As we grow, we embrace the challenges and gifts that come with building a conscious community. We are proudly a part of the worldwide Triratna Buddhist Community, which has over 60 urban centres and 15 rural retreat centres around the world in 27 countries.

Our Services

We offer a range of services, including introductory classes, level-two classes, and talks, as well as in-person sangha events and community activities. Our services are designed to help individuals understand the Buddha's teachings more deeply, as taught by Sangharakshita, and to provide a supportive community for those seeking to live a Buddhist life.

What is Triratna?

Triratna is a worldwide movement of people engaging with Buddha's teachings in the conditions of the modern world. Our movement is committed to going for refuge to the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, and to living a life that is guided by the principles of compassion, wisdom, and mindfulness.

Our Team

Our team is made up of experienced Buddhist practitioners who are committed to sharing their knowledge and wisdom with others. Our council and supported team include men's mitra convenor Dhirajyoti, external trustees Maitrinaga, Maitrisiddha, Parami, Vajracetana, and Viryadevi.

Getting Involved

If you're interested in getting involved with our community, we offer a range of ways to do so. You can attend one of our introductory classes, listen to a talk, or get involved in one of our community activities. We also have a blog where you can stay up-to-date with the latest news and events from our centre.
