A Family Business Rich in History

The Davies family has been involved with tourism in Berrow and Brean for over 65 years. Brean Down Caravan Park was purchased in June 1981 and has been a family-run business ever since. As members of the BH & HPA, you can trust us to provide a professional, reliable service, ensuring that your holiday home purchase is made with confidence.

Discover our fascinating history:

• 1950: Ron Davies, my great uncle, operated a cafe at Brean Down, providing day-trippers with refreshments.
• 1952: Caravans began appearing along the Brean Strip. Wilf, my grandad, and his brother invested in land in Berrow and built Sandyglade Holiday Park from scratch.
• 1970s: My parents took over the running of the parks and transformed Sandyglade into one of the best caravan parks on the strip.
• Present day: Brean Down Caravan Park is now run by me, Nicola Colls, the eldest daughter of my parents, with the continued support and guidance of my mother.

The Davies family has always believed in "keeping it in the family", with key roles being filled by family members. Our hope is that, in the future, Brean Down Caravan Park will be passed down to another generation of the Davies family.
