We import the finest quality timber products from countries around the world and distribute them directly to our customers, ensuring speedy and cost-effective delivery. Our streamlined, direct timber service allows us to establish positive long-term relationships with our customers, providing them with the right materials for their requirements. We handle all the import paperwork for our customers, and our Authorised Economic Operator status at the port means we can avoid time-consuming admin and bureaucracy.

Our range of products includes pack lots or full lorry loads of hardwoods, softwood clears, and engineered timbers. We also offer a bespoke service, allowing customers to select specific packs or packs that meet their exact requirements, reducing waste and increasing efficiency. Our team works closely with our suppliers to ensure they understand our robust Chain of Custody requirements, and we apply diligent and robust procedures to all the timber we buy, regardless of value or quantity, without exception.

Our History

LDT was set up in 2011 as the bulk trading division of the James Latham Group, one of the UK and Ireland's largest independent distributors of timber, panels, and decorative surfaces with a history reaching back over 265 years. Our team is made up of industry experts with a long and varied history within the UK's Timber Trade, with well over a century's worth of experience and knowledge sourcing and trading hardwoods and softwood clears from around the globe.
