At Acorns Day Nursery, we understand that choosing the right childcare provider for your child can be a daunting task. Our nursery is open Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays and between Christmas and New Year.

Our Team

Our team of qualified and compassionate practitioners are dedicated to providing the highest level of care and education for children from birth to five years old. Each member of the team holds a qualification in childcare and/or is studying for one, and they all hold a Paediatric First Aid qualification. We're proud of our diverse team, which includes individuals who hold or are studying for degrees in Early Years Studies. Our Nursery Manager, Joanne, has over 30 years of childcare experience and holds relevant qualifications, including Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding.

Our Setting

Our nursery is situated in the grounds of Sevenoaks Primary School, providing a safe and secure environment for children to learn and play. Our large, enclosed garden offers ample space for children to explore, climb, and take in the surrounding mature trees. We believe that outdoor play is essential for children's development, and we strive to provide a stimulating and engaging outdoor environment that encourages creativity and imagination.

Our Rooms

We have four specifically designed rooms tailored to the individual needs of each age group. Our Baby Room is a calm oasis where we encourage babies to explore and develop through sensory play. As children grow, they transition to our Chipmunks Room, where they develop important social and physical skills through stimulating activities. Our Badgers Room focuses on individual development, providing guidance and support as children master new skills. Finally, our Foxes Room offers a structured learning environment, tailored to individual children's developmental stages and needs.

Our Approach

We achieve this through a combination of play-based learning, sensory experiences, and a focus on individual child development. Our qualified practitioners work closely with parents and carers to ensure that each child reaches their full potential.
