At Victoria House Residential Home, we pride ourselves on being a family-run residential care home with a team of dedicated, experienced, and caring staff members. The majority of our senior staff have been with us since we opened, and all our care staff undergo a Criminal Records Bureau check and complete a three-month induction program. Many of our staff hold NVQ qualifications in Care or are currently under instruction, ensuring that we provide the best possible care to our residents.

Our Care Services

• Residential Care: Our residential care service is suitable for those who find it difficult to cope at home alone or require more help than their carer can provide. Our residential care provides residents with accommodation, meals, and personal care, including help with everyday routines such as bathing and dressing. Our care homes do not normally provide nursing care, but carers are available to residents 24 hours a day.
• Respite Care: Our respite care service is short-term care that can be used to give carers a break or at times when carers are unavailable. This is particularly beneficial when families or carers need a well-deserved break. Our dedicated team provides care during the break period, ensuring that residents receive the best possible care.
• Transitional Care: Transitional care is a bridge between two phases of care. Perhaps you have been in hospital as a result of a fall or illness and require some support before going home. In this instance, you may decide to spend two weeks in a residential care environment to build confidence and increase strength before returning home. Victoria House currently offers Transitional Care for both local authority and private clients.
• Dementia Care / EMI (Elderly Mental Infirm): Dementia and dementia-related conditions such as Alzheimer's disease and other conditions with confusion are increasing problems for older people and cause additional pressure for families and carers. People suffering from dementia are cared for through close assessment of their needs and with guidance from mental health teams. The care provided in these circumstances is focused on improving the quality of life of the people affected.
