Premier Taxis has been the leading taxi service provider in Blackpool for over 30 years. With a humble beginning in 1990, the company started with just five cars, and a commitment to providing a different kind of taxi service - one that went above and beyond what was normally expected. Our dedication to service meant that by 1997, our fleet had grown to 30 vehicles. Our expansion continued in 2009 with the acquisition of 'Fylde Taxis' in Lytham St Annes, which we rebranded as Premier 711111. This move marked the end of a monopoly in the area and brought in much-needed competition.
Commitment to the Environment
In 2015, we introduced the area's first 100% Electric Taxis, as part of our commitment to improving the air quality in and around Blackpool. The success of our Electric Taxis led us to focus on using environmentally friendly vehicles only. In September 2018, we took this commitment a step further by banning the use of all Diesel vehicles on our fleet. Today, we operate Hybrid Electric or 100% Electric vehicles only, and we are proud to say that the electricity we use to charge our 100% Electric Taxi fleet comes from renewable energy sources, including Hydro, Wind and Solar.
