Founded in 1978 by Sandy and Linda Smeaton, the business has grown and evolved over the years, adapting to the changing needs of the industry. With a deep understanding of the business, having been part of it for many years, Sandy has always been one step ahead, acquiring the right equipment at the right time.
Smeaton Plant Hire has been a pioneer in introducing new machinery and technology to the market, from Liebherr 360 excavators and longreach excavators to rubber duck machines and tilting ditching buckets. More recently, the Smeaton's have added mobile crushing and screening to their fleet of excavators. The business has also seen the addition of a new partner, their son Graeme, who is a diesel mechanic by trade, servicing and repairing all the machinery.
Our Services
