At SteamDesk, we take great pride in our exceptional relationships with all our clients. Our dedicated team is the driving force behind our success. Here's a brief introduction to the key members of the SteamDesk family:

*Ross Hamilton, Founder and MD of SteamDesk*: Ross, a web developer since the early 90s, holds a PhD in Computer Science. His extensive expertise has earned him the moniker 'Website Doctor'.

*Ben Trott, Developer*: Ben joined us through a PiKT scheme from the University of Lincoln in January 2013. His valuable contributions have made him an integral part of the SteamDesk family.

*Dave Langley, Developer*: With a background in software contracting in the defence sector, Dave joined us in October 2013. His skills and experience have been pivotal in our projects.

Maintenance & Development Contracts

At SteamDesk, we offer affordable, high-quality contracts for maintenance and development services. These contracts can be tailored to suit your needs, from a few hours of bug fixes and support per month to a full-time development team.

E-commerce Development

We specialise in e-commerce development, particularly Woocommerce customisation and configuration. While we previously provided Magento customisation and development, we now recommend Woocommerce-based solutions due to their suitability for small to medium-sized businesses and lower maintenance and development overheads. We are happy to support and maintain existing systems or develop new websites from scratch, with custom modules being a speciality.

SteamDesk CPD Recording System

We offer a stand-alone or linked CPD Planning and Recording system, which can be customised to your organisation's requirements. The SteamDesk/BPS CPD system, now in its fifth version, has been developed over the past 10 years in partnership with the British Psychological Society (BPS).

Web Development Specialists

With a wealth of experience in the web development field, we specialise in converting systems from one technology to another, such as from legacy ASP systems to PHP. Our expertise extends to Drupal development and other content management systems.

Online Project Tracker

To log and record client requests, we use a simple and easy-to-use in-house Project Tracker, Centralisys. Some of our clients love it so much that they have their own installations!
