Operating Sustainably

At SMC, we are committed to operating sustainably. We have clearly defined and measurable commitments to environmental sustainability, such as transitioning to electric/hybrid company vehicles, recycling procedures and quantifiable tracing, reduced travel and consumables usage, and becoming carbon neutral by 2030. Our head office in the UK is already operating as a net carbon negative facility, with 18,500kg of carbon stored per year as part of our grassland and tree carbon capture program, and our recent switch to 100% renewably sourced electricity. In line with our environmental management systems, SMC is an ISO 14001 accredited business.
