St James Tattoo Removal is a renowned tattoo removal service based in Bognor Regis. With the increasing popularity of tattoos in recent years, many individuals find themselves regretting their decisions. We are here to help by offering gold standard laser tattoo removal services. Our state-of-the-art ND:Yag Q switched laser is designed and built in the UK, ensuring safety and efficiency in every treatment. Our team is fully qualified, insured, and registered with the Local council LPA and as a Laser Protection Advisor.

We understand the importance of using a UK laser that conforms to EU regulations, and we are transparent about this. If other companies do not advertise this, they are likely not using a UK or approved laser (Medical Grade Laser). We encourage prospective clients to contact us for a consultation and patch test, where we can explain the significance of using a UK laser and our laser tattoo removal process.

How Does Laser Tattoo Removal Work?

Laser tattoo removal works by the laser light penetrating the skin and being absorbed by the tattoo pigment. As the laser light is absorbed by the ink, it causes an acoustic shock that breaks the ink into smaller particles, which the body can then naturally dispose of using its drainage system (Lymphatic). Over the treatment course, the tattoo becomes more faded as layers of ink are broken down and removed.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

The number of treatments needed varies and depends on various factors, including the type of tattoo, the depth of ink, the types of ink used, the age of the tattoo, and the individual's skin type and healing ability. It is best to contact us for a more accurate idea. Some people are looking to lighten their tattoo to a certain level as they want to get a different type/colour over the top, which will obviously take less treatments.

Can All Ink Colours Be Removed?

The ND:yag Q switched laser is best for treating black, blue, and certain green inks when using 1064nm and reds when using 532nm. Other colours will absorb the laser light, although some colours prove more troublesome, like certain yellows, purples, etc.

Will the Treatment Scar?

No, but this cannot be guaranteed due to different skin types. Quite often having the tattoo put on scars the skin, but this isn't noticed at the time as the colour hides it. This can show as the ink is broken down and skin becomes normal colour again. Sometimes blistering or bleed spots can occur, but these should not be picked, as this is the body's natural protection. If this happens, we can adjust the treatment/machine to suit the individual's skin. Also, hyper- or hypo-pigmentation of the skin can occur but is rare and usually transient, going back to normal in a few weeks.

Treatment Prices?

Prices start from 40 per treatment (5x3cm). We require a consultation/patch test of 20, which will be deducted from the individual's first treatment. We are unable to take card payments at the moment.
