At Duffy Optometrists, we are a long-standing, family-owned company with practices in Mansfield, Newark, and Wollaton. We have built up a reputation for providing individual style and optical expertise in a friendly atmosphere with a personal service tailored to individual patient needs. Our practices are equipped to an extremely high standard to provide both general and specialist optometric services.
Our History
John and Maggie Duffy, both qualified optometrists from London's City University, took over a long-established practice in Mansfield in 1986. Expansion to Wollaton occurred in 1995, and to the Newark practice in January 2004. Both John and Maggie work within the three practices with a team of colleagues, each with their own individual interests including diabetic retinopathy screening, vision and learning, dry eye treatment, and pre-school children.

We offer a wide range of services including advanced eye examinations, vision and learning, contact lenses, and professional services. We are one of only a hundred or so practices nationwide equipped with an Intuitive Colorimeter for prescribing precision tinted filters often helpful for students with specific reading difficulties, dyslexia or dysgraphia.
