Established in 1964 as Eskdale Boys Club, Loanhead Miners Youth Football Club has evolved into a cornerstone of youth football development in Midlothian. Our journey began with sponsorship from Loanhead Miners, leading to our current identity as a club serving boys and girls aged 3 to 18, alongside walking football for over-50s. We pioneered community club status in Midlothian and hold the Scottish FA Quality Mark, reflecting our commitment to excellence. Our facilities at Bayne Memorial Hall, upgraded through 250,000 in funding, provide modern training spaces and changing areas. We host diverse competitions including 4x4s, Super '5s', 7-a-sides, and 11-a-side matches across local venues.In 2012, we represented Heart of Midlothian at the Scottish Cup Final, offering unique experiences like parading the trophy at Hampden Park. Our club colours of sky blue and navy embody tradition, while our inclusive approach spans generations. With teams from U8 to U18 and adult divisions, we foster talent and community spirit. Our partnership with local authorities and funding bodies demonstrates our organisational credibility. Through structured programmes like Soccer Stars for pre-schoolers, we nurture early skills.
