Hutleys Caravan Park, a family-run business, takes great pride in being the last remaining privately owned park in the area. Established in 1921, the park has a rich history steeped in entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to providing great value for money.

Personally managed by Alan Hutley and Gill Went (nee Hutley), the business continues to thrive and is known for its friendly atmosphere and personal touch. Our customers appreciate the feeling of owning a caravan on a park that isn't run by a multi-national company, and our experienced staff are always on hand to assist owners.

We are committed to offering an all-inclusive fee without any hidden extras, and all our services are included in one invoice with the option of payment by interest-free standing orders. Our customers can enjoy a stress-free holiday experience, knowing that everything is taken care of.

Beside the Seaside

Our park is located beside the seaside, offering direct access to our private beach. With safe bathing facilities, our beach is perfect for families with young children. Our customers can enjoy the sun, sea and sand in a safe and secure environment.

Facilities

At Hutleys, we offer a range of facilities to ensure that our customers have an enjoyable holiday experience. Our facilities include a pool, amusements, play areas and more. Our pool is popular with both children and adults, and our amusements offer a range of arcade games and entertainment options.

We understand that staying connected is important, which is why we offer a new faster WiFi service. Our guests can now access the internet from their caravans without the need to come to the office to collect a code for access.

Caravan Sales

If you are looking to buy a caravan, we have a range of options available on our Caravan Sales page. Our caravans are competitively priced and offer great value for money. Our experienced staff are on hand to assist with any questions or concerns you may have.

History of Hutleys

Founded in 1921 by brothers Harold and Edward Hutley, the park has undergone significant changes over the years. From selling cups of tea to daytrippers on the beach to expanding the park and adding facilities, Hutleys has always been committed to improving the holiday experience for its customers.

In the 1920s, Harold saw the trend of visitors wanting to stay for the weekend and purchased army surplus tents and 'new' caravans, many converted from old ambulances. By the 1940s and 50s, huts were constructed on the beach and became the holiday home of choice for local business owners and their families.

After the Great Flood of 1953, the park was rebuilt and continued to grow. The early 1960s saw a boom in UK coastal holidays, and Hutleys responded by building the Sailor Boy complex in 1975. By the 1980s, all vans were connected to an electrical supply, and both fresh and foul water.

Alan and Gill, Basil's son and daughter, joined the business in the mid-80s and continue to run the business today. We are proud of our history and look forward to welcoming new customers to our park.
