With 30 years of experience in decorating, fixing, and building things for myself, friends, and family, I am now proud to offer my expertise to you. Based in Sandridge, I am your local handyman, ready to help you with any job, big or small.
At Pete Handyman, no job is too small. If it matters to you, it matters to me. I understand that many people simply don't have the time or energy to deal with those little jobs around the house that seem to pile up. That's where I come in. I will turn up at the agreed time, complete the work to a high standard, and leave your house clean and tidy.
Services
I offer a wide range of services, including but not limited to:
*Woodwork*: Laying laminate or wood flooring, fitting new door and window locks, hanging new or reclaimed doors, completing old DIY projects, floor sanding and varnishing, replacing skirting boards and architraving, designing, building, and installing shelving, installing and building kitchen or bathroom cabinets, fitting new or re-hang cupboard doors, and assembling flat-pack furniture.
*Garden*: Erecting sheds, repairing gates, installing a water butt, and general repairs.
*Decorating*: Internal and external painting, wallpapering, installing new coving, patching plaster, filling in cracks, sanding and preparation work, tiling, installing new wall and floor tiles, re-grouting existing tiling, and replacing broken and cracked tiles.
*Electrical*: Replacing switches and sockets, installing dimmer switches, changing light fittings, installations (e.g. TVs on the wall, hanging pictures and mirrors, installing roller blinds), and installing flat-pack furniture.
Prices
I generally charge an hourly rate for small jobs: 20 for the first half hour, 40 for the first complete hour, and 40 for any following hours. Larger jobs would be charged at a daily rate of 280 per day (8 hours), excluding materials and without VAT. Please contact me for a quote, and I will be happy to help.
