Preserving dignity, protecting privacy, and promoting well-being

Our Story

Here at Ayrshire Care Homes, we have been dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our residents for many years. Our journey began with a simple yet powerful mission: to create a safe, comforting, and stimulating environment where our residents can thrive and live their best lives. Today, we are proud to operate three luxurious care homes in Ayrshire, each with its own unique character and charm.

Our Services

We understand that every individual has their own unique needs, preferences, and goals. That's why we offer a wide range of services tailored to meet the specific needs of our residents. From nursing and residential care to specialist care for adults with learning disabilities or physical disabilities, we have the expertise and resources to provide high-quality support. Our care programmes are designed to promote independence, dignity, and well-being, while also catering to the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents.

What We Offer

Our care homes offer a range of amenities and activities designed to make life enjoyable and engaging for our residents. From social activities and entertainment to delicious meals and comfortable accommodation, we strive to provide a warm and welcoming environment that feels like home. Our hotel services, including laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance, are designed to take the stress out of daily living, allowing our residents to focus on the things that matter most. We also provide a range of care and training services, delivered by our fully qualified nurses and care assistants, to ensure that our residents receive the highest standards of care.

Our Homes

Our three care homes - Thorntoun Estate, Suncourt House, and Torrance Lodge - are located in picturesque areas of Ayrshire, offering a tranquil and peaceful setting that promotes relaxation and well-being. Each home has its own unique features, from beautifully landscaped gardens to comfortable lounges and dining areas. We take pride in our homes, and we're confident that you'll feel the same way when you visit.

Reviews
Positive: Fantastic memories, wonderful family holiday, and fantastic care by cheerful staff.

Childhood Memories of a Grand Hotel

Peter Broster, who stayed at the hotel in 1967, shares his fond memories of the place. It was one of his happiest childhood experiences. Although the hotel closed down, he is pleased to know that it now serves as a retirement home for the elderly. He plans to visit the place again this year to reminisce about his past.

Fantastic Family Holiday

Pauline Devlin Shepherd, who stayed at the hotel with her daughters, also shares her wonderful experience. They had a fantastic time, and it was one of their best holidays. The hotel, with its beautiful beach across the road, was a lovely place to stay. The staff were friendly, and the food was delicious with a variety of options throughout the week. Although the hotel eventually closed and reopened as a retirement home, she would have loved to take her grandchildren to Troon Beach and stay at the hotel.

Fantastic Care and Cheerful Staff

Grace Reid, who has experienced the care provided by the retirement home, praises the staff for their dedication and cheerfulness. She believes that the level of care is fantastic, and the staff are always willing to help.
