Our Nurseries
We are proud to have two nurseries in North Shields, each with its unique charm and offerings. Our first nursery, based in the grounds of St. Cuthbert's Primary School, Lovaine Place, has a 26-place capacity and is surrounded by beautiful greenery and outdoor space. Our second nursery, located next to Vets 4 Pets, Barnstaple Road, has a 31-place capacity and is situated in a convenient and accessible location.
Our Staff
At Little Learners, we recognize that our staff are our most important asset. Each staff member brings their unique experiences and skills, which are fully utilized to enhance the experiences for all children. Our nursery manager is well-experienced, and our staff team is fully supported by the managing directors who have a wealth of experience in the early years. All of our staff are fully qualified and undergo a thorough induction and ongoing training process to ensure they are up-to-date with current practice. We are proud to have been voted as one of the best places to work in the North East, with a happy and high-quality staff team.
Recruitment and Safeguarding
We are committed to ensuring the safeguarding of all children and have a robust recruitment procedure in place. This requires all staff to hold an enhanced disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring service. We pride ourselves on having a strict and rigorous approach to safeguarding, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in our care.
Sessions and Times
We offer flexible sessions and times to cater to the needs of all families. Our Lovaine Place nursery offers full day or half-day sessions, from 7.30 am to 5.30 pm, with options for morning or afternoon sessions. Our Barnstaple Road nursery offers the same flexible options, providing convenience and choice for all families. We also offer government-funded places for eligible families.

At Little Learners, we believe in creating a well-rounded and enjoyable experience for all children. We offer a variety of additional services, including a library of books for children to enjoy, a range of toys and equipment for play and learning, and special events and activities throughout the year.
