Situated on the picturesque Bodmin Moor, near the Devon/Cornwall border, Fabric and Furniture is a family-run business specialising in the upholstery of both new and cherished furniture pieces. While we are currently not present at Tavistock Market, we continue to offer our services from our workshop, where we upholster furniture, create bespoke footstools and cushions, and provide a collection and delivery service.

In addition to our furniture upholstery services, Fabric and Furniture offers a collection of handmade footstools in various sizes, all of which are crafted by Linda. We understand that every space is unique, and if you have specific requirements, we encourage you to share them with us. Our footstools are not only aesthetically pleasing but also durable and comfortable, thanks to the high-quality materials and solid wood Queen Anne legs used in their construction. We are proud to use an array of fabrics from reputable brands such as Harris Tweed, Cornish Tartan, Zoffany, and Designers Guild, amongst many others.

Fabric and Furniture specialises in the restoration of period furniture, which is typically built to a far higher standard than most modern factory pieces. We are dedicated to preserving the craftsmanship of these treasured items by replacing springs, webbing, and fabric as needed. We only use top-quality materials and offer fabric selection from our in-stock options or swatches sent to match your chosen colour scheme. Our services include Ercol re-webbing, Parker Knoll re-springing, and general upholstery for antique and period furniture.
