Our Philosophy
We believe that children are at their happiest and most contented surrounded by nature and the natural world. That's why we spend a lot of time exploring our large outdoor space, which offers a wide variety of learning opportunities using all of their senses. We also harness children's natural curiosity and sense of wonder by providing play spaces that have a calm, relaxed feeling and lots of opportunities to be inquisitive and explore.
Our Services
At Playbox Nursery, we offer a range of services designed to support your child's learning and development. Our nursery is divided into three main areas, each designed to accommodate a specific age group. We have the Little Stars room for children aged 3 months to 2 years, the Sunshine Room for children aged 2 to 3 years, and the Rainbow Room for children aged 3 to 5 years.
Each room is decorated with soft colours and textures, and equipped with a variety of age-appropriate wooden toys, natural resources, and real-life objects. We also have a cosy sleeping area, where babies can sleep soundly in our Dream Coracles. Our outdoor space is designed to encourage children to explore and learn, with a range of activities and equipment to promote physical development.
Our Team
Our team of highly trained practitioners is dedicated to providing the best possible care and education for your child. Each member of our team holds at least a level 3 Child Care qualification, and we invest highly in their ongoing development and training. We believe that our staff are the backbone of our nursery, and we strive to create a team that is passionate, caring, and dedicated to supporting your child's learning and development.
Our Approach
At Playbox Nursery, we believe that every child is unique and special, and we strive to create a personalized learning experience for each child. We work closely with parents to understand their child's individual needs and interests, and we use this information to develop a personalized learning plan that meets their needs.
We also believe in the importance of outdoor learning, and we spend a lot of time exploring our natural environment. We offer a range of outdoor activities, including Forest School and Muddy Puddle activities, which are designed to promote physical development, creativity, and imagination.

We are proud to have been rated as "Good" by OFSTED, and we strive to continue to improve and develop our services to meet the needs of our children and families.
