The Artist: Hamish MacDonald D.A. P.A.I.Hamish MacDonald D.A. P.A.I. (1935-2008) was a renowned Scottish artist who studied at the prestigious Glasgow School of Art from 1963 to 1967. His distinctive style, reminiscent of the Scottish Colourist tradition, is characterized by broad, fluid brushstrokes and a bold, vibrant palette. Hamish's ability to capture the essence and vitality of his subjects is enhanced by his confident and mature artistic approach. Today, he is widely regarded as one of Scotland's most successful contemporary artists.
Continuing the Legacy
In 2008, Hamish's youngest daughter, Nicola, took over the business, carrying on her father's legacy by offering Giclee and Lithographic prints in various sizes, as well as signed and estate-stamped limited editions. In recent years, Nicola has expanded the product range to include luxury silk scarves based on her father's artwork. These scarves are designed, printed, and finished in Glasgow, Scotland, continuing the proud tradition of Scottish craftsmanship.
