Business Dispute and Unprofessionalism
The review, authored by Jake Fls, describes a highly disappointing experience with Matthew Hayne of Hayne Associates. Initially, Matthew was friendly and polite; however, he caused havoc with the author's accounts, leading to massive fines and consequences for the business.
Accounting Issues and Neglect
Matthew failed to properly submit the author's accounts over a period of three years. This led to fines and penalties being issued, which Matthew never informed the author about. The author only discovered this when they switched accountants and began receiving the warning letters and fines at their new registered business address.
Lack of Cooperation and Communication
When the author confronted Matthew about the issue, he claimed that he did not hand over the required files to the new accountants because the author owed him money. Matthew promised to resolve the corporation tax issue immediately but failed to follow through. He continued to make excuses and eventually stopped responding to the author's attempts at contact.
Financial Consequences and Damages
The author is now stuck with a total of around 9,000 in fines, which should have been approximately 1,200. The situation has caused significant hassle and prevented the author from moving forward.
