Where every shot counts, and every moment is cherished

Welcome to Abernethy Golf Club, a distinguished golfing establishment located in the picturesque village of Nethy Bridge, Scotland. Our club, steeped in rich history, is proud to be a member of the 1893 Club, an association of over 50 clubs worldwide that were founded in that year.

The genesis of golf in Nethy Bridge dates back to July 1, 1893, with the first course established at Balliemore. However, in 1895, the decision was made to move to our current location at Croftcroy, a site leased from the Seafield Estate. The course has since evolved, with the addition of the second, third, and fourth holes over the years. The clubhouse has also seen significant transformation, replacing the original wooden structure in 1984 and becoming the property of the club in 1994, with aid from the Foundation for Sports and the Arts.

Our course, nestled in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, offers a unique and challenging golfing experience. The monument on our 8th hole serves as a war memorial, a poignant reminder of the fallen in World War 1 and 2. Its unconventional location at the centre of a golf course has been a topic of intrigue for many of our visitors.
