Welcome to Old Station Kennels, a fully licensed dog boarding kennel located just off the A607, between Melton Mowbray and Grantham. Our kennels are situated in 1.7 acres of picturesque grass fields and two ponds, offering a tranquil and scenic environment for your beloved pet. With a dedicated and fully trained member of staff on site 24/7, your dog's stay with us is guaranteed to be a comfortable and enjoyable home-from-home experience.
At Old Station Kennels, we pride ourselves on being a caring family-run business that offers a warm, clean, safe, and friendly environment for your dog. Our kennels are approved and veterinary-approved, ensuring that your pet receives the best possible care while staying with us. We understand that your dog is a valued member of your family, and we treat every dog with the love and respect that they deserve.
Our Services
We offer a range of services to cater to your dog's needs, including:
- Dog Kennels: We care for all types of dogs, from Great Danes to Toy Poodles and from working dogs to lap dogs. With 26 kennels available, we can provide both short and long-term dog boarding.
- Daycare: We now offer a daycare service to people who need their dog looked after during the daytime on a regular basis, such as whilst at work.
- Dog Training: We run training classes for dogs and owners using the clicker and positive methods. Tuition is available either as one-to-one or in groups, and we can also arrange long-term dog boarding and training. All annual vaccinations must be administered a minimum of two weeks before boarding.
Our Kennels
Each of our dog boarding kennels has covered runs with views across the surrounding fields. They are cleaned twice a day, and the waters are changed and bedding washed regularly. Warm and cosy bedding is supplied, but you are welcome to bring your own. Dogs in our care are walked daily, and we have four exercise paddocks to give them free running exercise and play. We feed the dogs twice a day using Skinners Field & Trial, unless instructed otherwise. If you wish to bring your own food, we will happily cater to your requirements and can administer medication if required.
At Old Station Kennels, we understand that leaving your dog in someone else's care can be a daunting experience. That's why we go above and beyond to ensure that your dog is comfortable and happy during their stay with us. All of our kennels are heated and covered, and dogs are exercised daily, including playtime. We also offer a range of creature comforts to make your dog's stay as enjoyable as possible.
Our Team
Our team is made up of experienced and dedicated animal lovers who are committed to providing the best possible care for your dog. Felicity, who manages the kennels, has a wealth of experience in managing private dressage stable yards, working in large veterinary practices, and showing dogs. Daniel, who is responsible for the training classes, is a highly successful dog trainer with a wealth of experience in training all breeds of dogs.
Together, Felicity and Daniel have a huge passion for animals and a shared love of dogs. They are dedicated to providing the best possible care for your dog, and their expertise and experience ensure that your dog is in the best possible hands.

We are open Monday - Saturday, 9am - 11am and 3pm - 5pm, and daycare hours are 8am - 5pm. We are closed on Sundays and bank holidays, but out-of-hour times can be arranged for an additional charge.
