At Blue Hills Farm, we're proud to be a family-run business that has been supplying and selling fresh, tender quality meat directly from our farm to your table since 1967. Our farm shop, based in Birkenshaw, West Yorkshire, was the first of its kind to sell meat to the local community, and we've been committed to providing the highest quality products ever since.
Our History
Starting from humble beginnings, our founder Carlton kept a few chickens, rabbits, and the odd little pig at the age of 10. Later, with his wife Judith, they expanded into delivering milk using a traditional horse and cart - seven days a week come rain or shine throughout the local area. The natural progression was for Carlton to own a farm, which he achieved and moved into Blue Hills Farm. Today, we have three farms with a total acreage of 550 and over 800 cattle.

We offer a wide range of services and products, all of which are centered around our core values of quality, freshness, and customer satisfaction. Our Farm Shop is stocked with a vast array of fresh meat, including grass-fed beef, free-range pork, lamb, farmhouse dry-cured bacon, gammon, ham shanks, and sausages. We also have a Hay Loft Cafe, which serves a variety of home-cooked food using fresh ingredients from our Farm Shop. For families, we have The Playbarn, a fun place for kids to run around and play, come rain or shine. And for those special occasions, we offer party packages that are perfect for children's birthday parties.
Our Bakery is another popular destination, where customers can find a variety of home-cooked food, all made using fresh ingredients from our Farm Shop. We also have a selection of pet food and supplies, making us a one-stop shop for all your farm-fresh needs.
