Welcome to Roaches Joinery, a family-owned business with over 30 years of experience in designing and manufacturing purpose-made joinery. We pride ourselves on delivering a professional and reliable service, sensitive to the aesthetic and functional requirements of planning authorities, preservation societies, and ultimately, the final user.

Our workshop is based in the beautiful surroundings of the Peak District National Park, close to the border between Staffordshire and Derbyshire, allowing us to ideally serve the local communities of Leek, Buxton, Bakewell, and Tideswell.

We provide detailed site surveys, work from plans, and produce scale drawings and templates to ensure accuracy and precision. Our experience in liaising with planning officers and local authorities ensures that your project meets all necessary regulations and requirements.

Our commitment to environmental responsibility is evident in our sourcing of high-quality, sustainable timber from environmentally sound and renewable sources. We work closely with clients to select the most suitable timber for their project, ensuring that it is aesthetically pleasing and functional.

Glazing Options

We offer a range of glazing options to suit your project, including single and double glazed units, toughened, laminated, obscure, and patterned glass. Our double glazed units exceed u-value requirements expected by Building Regulations, and we can provide specialist double glazing for traditional designs.

Timber Sourcing

We ensure that all timber products used in our joinery manufacture process come from Timber Trade Federation Members (TTF) who are compliant with European Union Timber Regulation (EUTR) and have signed up to their Responsible Purchasing Process (RPP). This ensures that our timber is not from illegal sources, and we can provide information on the geographical origin and forest management in place for its supply chain.

Restoration and Conservation

We understand the importance of preserving our architectural heritage. Our restoration services include the repair, replacement, and refurbishment of original joinery, where possible, using traditional techniques and materials to ensure that the integrity of the original design is maintained.
