At Howark, we're a boutique interior design studio based in West London, specializing in Architectural Interior Design across the UK and internationally. With over 25 years of combined experience, our attention to detail, dynamism, and passion for design guide clients from concept to project completion, helping to create expressive, distinctive, and inviting homes.

Our Story

Building on over 25 years of experience in the design industry, we started Howark in 2017. Having worked at prestigious design companies, we wanted to apply our experience and knowledge in a more personal way. We love the intimacy and focus that comes from working directly with clients and getting to know each individual - their character and quirks. As a purposefully small team, we take on a select number of projects, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in every aspect and give it the care and creativity it deserves.

How We Work

We believe that really great design enhances life, and that the process of creating beautiful, well-thought-out homes should be an enjoyable and collaborative process from beginning to end. Our approach is built on imagination, honesty, responsibility, and enthusiasm. We love thinking outside the box and taking a fresh approach to ensure no two projects are ever the same. We champion ethical consumption, reusing interesting textiles and materials, sourced locally where possible, and try to avoid single-use plastics.

Our Studio

Tucked away in an old coaching yard in a quiet area of Chiswick, West London, our HQ at the Courtyard is a particularly verdant and inspiring creative haven. Our studio is a reflection of our design style, with a lofty Victorian stable block housing the main workspace, a wooden clad annexe housing the material library, and an adjoining meeting room in the wisteria-covered main building.

Our interior design service covers FF&E design and specification, bespoke furniture design, soft furnishing, wall finishes, decorative lighting, art consultancy, and styling. We work closely with the very best specialists in the world to ensure there are no limits to a project.
