Our Story
Since our launch in 2006, we've been committed to providing clinical excellence and personalised service to our patients. Despite having 3 practices in the North London area, we still see ourselves as a family business. Before setting up Optikal, we worked as locums for 15 years to gain experience in the clinical side of optometry. Since opening our own opticians in Temple Fortune, Finchley and Potters Bar, we've built a great team of experienced staff. Everything we do here at Optikal is with our patients in mind. Every patient deserves to be treated as an individual, from eye examinations to selecting glasses or contact lenses.

We also have a great selection of eyewear brands, with each frame carefully sourced with our patients in mind. You'll find something for everyone, with the latest fashion trends and more timeless designs. For contact lens wearers, you'll be safe in our hands as an authorised Acuvue Centre of Excellence. With an excellent range of contact lenses to suit all prescriptions and conditions, we pride ourselves on being able to help you find the best lenses to suit your situation.
Our Commitment to You
We offer eye care for the whole family, from young children to older patients. With the latest equipment, our eye examinations are comprehensive and tailored to suit your needs. We have an OCT scanner that gives us a detailed 3D view of your eye and can detect even the tiniest changes that could indicate the early stages of eye disease. If you have a pre-existing condition such as glaucoma or diabetes, we'll discuss your eyecare needs and ensure we look after your vision with regular check-ups.
