Little Acorns Shireoaks

Welcome to Little Acorns, Shireoaks, a community-based, small village pre-school with an excellent reputation. We are located in a semi-rural setting, in the heart of the village of Shireoaks, Nottinghamshire. Our building was purpose-built with lottery funding, providing an all-weather outdoor area with artificial grass and a soft surface playground. As a parent-run pre-school, we are a registered charity, which enables us to reinvest any profits back into the pre-school, keeping our fees as low as possible.

We are committed to providing a warm and friendly atmosphere, where every child is treated as an individual. We believe that children learn best through play, and we offer a full range of child-led play activities that cater to their unique needs and interests. Our staff are dedicated to creating a nurturing environment that encourages children to explore, learn, and grow at their own pace.

Our Services

At Little Acorns, Shireoaks, we offer a range of services designed to support the growth and development of children from a young age. Our pre-school is open from Monday to Friday, during term time only, and we provide flexible session times to accommodate the needs of working parents. Our session times include early drop-off from 08:00 to 08:30, morning sessions from 08:30 to 11:30, lunch sessions from 11:30 to 12:30, and afternoon sessions from 12:30 to 15:30.

We also offer a range of activities and resources to support parents and carers, including newsletters, parent information, policies and procedures, and committee information. We believe in building strong partnerships between parents, staff, and children, and we encourage active participation and involvement in our pre-school community.
