Lea Hill is a charming and historic retreat nestled in the heart of Devon, offering a peaceful getaway for families and their beloved pets. Our pretty cottages, converted from the ancient farmhouse and its barns, boast period features and provide spacious, pet-friendly accommodation with stunning views of woodland and meadows. With well-kept grounds and gardens, a network of footpaths, and a rich local flora and fauna, Lea Hill is the perfect place for a quiet retreat.

The Accommodation

Our comfortable cottages offer a range of facilities to ensure a perfectly tranquil stay. Most bedrooms are ensuite, and all cottages have their own pretty gardens. The seven acres of shared grounds and gardens provide a beautiful setting for BBQs and stargazing in our dark skies. Our well-equipped kitchens, free WiFi, and resource room with local information, washing machine and tumble dryer, ensure that you have everything you need for a relaxing break. We welcome dogs (up to 30 per dog) and provide an exercise field and plenty of walks. A cot/travelcot and highchair are available on request.

Our cottages offer affordable accommodation, with Friday changeovers and the option to bring your own bed linen, toiletries, towels, and cleaning cloths. We charge a refundable 50 good housekeeping deposit and pride ourselves on offering up to 50% cheaper prices than comparable agency bookings.

Location

Lea Hill cottages are remote, hidden away among narrow lanes, yet within easy reach of the Devon and Dorset "Jurassic" World Heritage coast. The historic town of Axminster, with its carpet making tradition and heritage centre, is just four miles away and offers a range of shops, eating places, and the historic Minster church with its summertime season of concerts. The surrounding area is perfect for dog walking and offers plenty of nearby attractions to visit. Just a short stroll from the friendly, pretty village of Membury, Lea Hill is deep in the countryside and offers dark sky enthusiasts the opportunity to view the milky way with the naked eye, in favourable weather.
