A Brief History
Our story began in 1891 when a group of enthusiastic bowlers rented a section of meadow from farmer Tom Ward of Fitzroy Farm and founded the North London Bowling Club. The field was levelled and made into a bowling green, and one of the cowsheds was turned into a pavilion. Over the years, the club has undergone significant development, but our commitment to the sport and our values of friendship, fair play, and fellowship have remained unchanged.

Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced bowler, we have a warm and welcoming environment in which to enjoy the game. Our coaching staff and experienced members will support you every step of the way, helping you to improve your skills and reach your full potential.
Hire Us
Our club offers its facilities for hire for various events such as birthday celebrations, engagement parties, barbecues, and company off-sites. Our green is available from mid-April to the end of September, and our clubhouse, bar, and kitchen are available for private use. We can cater to your needs and provide a unique and enjoyable experience for your guests.

The North London Bowling Club is situated in Fitzroy Park, London N6 6HT. We are easily accessible by car, public transport, or on foot. For those arriving by car, we have a car park on site. For public transport users, the nearest tube station is Gospel Oak, and there are several bus routes that stop near the club.
Affiliations
As a member of the bowls community, we are proud to be affiliated to Bowls England, the London & Southern Counties (L&SCBA), the Middlesex Bowling Association, and the Finchley and North London Bowls Association. This allows us to participate in various national and regional competitions, as well as sending teams and individual players to national and regional championships.
