Situated in the heart of Hardwicke village on Green Lane, the Hardwicke RBL Club is a local gem that offers a versatile venue for a variety of occasions. Whether you're looking to host a wedding reception, birthday party, office party, anniversary celebration, or even a wake, our friendly club has the perfect space for you. We also welcome locals who simply want to pop in for a drink, a game of darts, or a skittles match.
Our club is proud to be the headquarters of the Hardwicke and District Branch of the Royal British Legion, as well as the base for several other local community groups. With a modern bar, recently refurbished function room, lounge/meeting room, large beer garden, and two skittle alleys, all available for hire, the Hardwicke RBL Club is an affordable and convenient choice for local residents and club members.
Our Facilities
In 2011, we were fortunate to receive a donation from international logistics company UPS, which enabled us to add a large, modern kitchen and office to our facilities. This addition has allowed us to continue offering services such as "The Tuesday Club" to members of the Hardwicke and District Branch of the Royal British Legion and the local community. It has also facilitated the smooth running of local community functions such as "Burn's Night" and "Gloucester Night".
Our club is run by a committee of local residents, and our facilities include:
- A modern, fully equipped, fully licensed bar with a large selection of wines, spirits, ciders, lagers, and quality beers, including various real ales.
- A state-of-the-art digital jukebox, live sports on a big screen, dart boards, and a pool table.
- Two skittle alleys that regularly host teams from local leagues, with games played throughout the week and summer.
- A fully refurbished Function Room that can accommodate up to 120 people and includes a stage area for a DJ or live band.
- A large beer garden, a lounge/meeting room with a capacity of approximately 30 people, and disabled access/facilities.
Weddings & Parties
Our recently refurbished function room is the perfect venue for a wedding reception or private party. We can accommodate up to 120 people, cabaret style, and our kitchen facilities are available for hire for a small fee, making it easy to self-cater. Alternatively, we have recommended caterers who can provide delicious food for your event. Our stage area is ideal for a DJ or live band to entertain your guests.

Our facilities and bar are all very keenly priced, and you can make use of them all year round by becoming an associate member for as little as just 5 per year. You don't have to be ex-forces or a member of any other organisation to join our club - the RBL Club is for everyone.
