Our showroom and factory are located in the heart of Long Crendon, Aylesbury, close to Thame, gracefully straddling the Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire border. Our Story
Constable & Phillips is the cherished brainchild of the highly skilled craftsmen and accomplished cabinet makers, John Constable and Derek Phillips. Although they have since retired, the legacy of the lofty standards they set lingers vividly in the quality of furniture we produce today. Peter Boyson joined the team in 1981 as the resident designer and project manager, becoming a Director in 1986. Currently, the management team, consisting of Steve Boyson and Paul Higgins, remains steadfastly dedicated to upholding the venerable reputation for the immaculate workmanship that has come to epitomise Constable & Phillips.
Our Furniture
Nestled at the core of our business is the manufacturing of superior quality furniture that we proudly produce within the four walls of our esteemed premises. We meticulously select modern materials and the choicest timbers from around the globe, hailing from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified suppliers to champion responsible forest management. A feast for the eyes awaits you in our showroom, where veritable pieces of artistry made by hand demonstrate the fusion of traditional carpentry techniques and contemporary machinery dedicated to custom furniture production. Our dovetailed wooden drawers are painstakingly crafted from the same type of wood used for the door and drawer fronts, and the judicious application of durable lacquers and paints in our seasoned spray shop ensures a lasting, impeccable finish.
