Our History

Our story began in 1838, when the first wallpaper machine was invented in Lancashire. Since then, we have been pioneers in surface printing, a technique that creates a charming hand-painted effect, and one of the few manufacturers worldwide to offer this unique printing process. Our commitment to innovation has led us to adopt the latest technologies in digital printing and introduce a range of exclusive substrates, including Eco non-woven, Cork, Sisal, Grasscloth, and Textile bases, all of which are FSC certified.

From Rotary Screen + Gravure and Surface to Sur-Flex, Flexo, Flock, Beads, Grit, and Emboss, each technique produces stunning results with the same high standards in production and finishing. Our latest digital printing technology allows us to offer bespoke solutions, providing our clients with the flexibility to create one-of-a-kind designs.

Textured Wallcoverings

Texture is a popular trend in wallcoverings, and we offer an extensive selection of textured finishes, including Flock, Beads, Grit, and Emboss. These textured finishes bring designs to life, adding a tactile element that transforms a space.

Environmental Responsibility

At Surface Print, we take our environmental responsibilities seriously. We utilise FSC certified non-wovens, promoting responsible management of the world's forests. Additionally, all our inks are Acrylic and water-based, with low VOC emissions, making them an environmentally-friendly alternative to traditional inks.
