Our History
Founded in 1980, Crawfords initially focused on the buying and selling of used farm machinery. Over the years, our expertise has evolved, and we now specialise in sales, servicing, and parts for farm machinery and vehicles. Our headquarters is located in Writtle, just outside Chelmsford, Essex. We proudly became a Massey Ferguson franchise dealer in 2001, marking the beginning of a fruitful partnership with AGCO. Building on the success of the Massey Ferguson franchise, we expanded our offerings in 2003 by adding the Challenger franchise to our portfolio. Recognising our continued growth and achievements, we subsequently secured another AGCO franchise, Fendt.
Our Services
We provide new and used agricultural, ground care, construction and materials-handling machinery and equipment whilst also providing parts, service, and technology support. Our four conveniently located depots in Writtle, Charing, Billingshurst, and Ropley, cater to the diverse needs of customers throughout Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent, Sussex, Surrey, and Hampshire. We support a range of industry sectors, including agriculture, viticulture, fruit growers, forestry and arboriculture, ground care, construction, equestrian, transport and logistics, and rail.
