Our History
L. Thompson Optometrists began as a single-practice operation in Congleton, Cheshire, in 1983. The original practice was located in what is now Weatherspoons before moving to 27 West Street. In 1996, we relocated to our current location at 5 West Street, and in 2013, we expanded into the adjacent building at number 7, creating the Congleton Eyecare Centre. Although we once operated a second practice in Kidsgrove, we decided to focus our resources on our flagship Congleton location at the end of 2018.

Optometry has evolved significantly since our inception in 1983, with a greater emphasis on holistic care and the integration of various health services. At L. We recommend having your eyes tested at least every two years, or more frequently as advised by our optometrists.
